A mentally deranged woman delayed President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s trip to Kadoma where he was expected to address Zanu PF youths from across the country, has learnt.

The heavily built woman sat in front of the presidential motorcade delaying Mnangagwa from leaving his Munhumutapa Building offices early on Wednesday much to the chagrin of the Zanu PF leader’s security details who normally do not take “such nonsense.”

Sources told that Mnangagwa ordered the security team not to harm the woman.

“The President sat in his limousine but asked the security team to let her be. He was okay with the delay and did not want them to force her away or harm her in any way,” the source said.

In a short video clip seen by the woman shouting at the top of her voice seemed to be praying.

“Mnangagwa ngaachengetedzwe. Chiwenga (Vice President Constantino) ngaachengetedzwe (Mnangagwa and Chiwenga must be protected),” the woman is heard chanting.

Mnangagwa came to power on the back of a military coup that deposed his longtime mentor the late Robert Mugabe who had been in power for 37 years.

Chiwenga was the architect of the coup as he was Commander Zimbabwe Defence Forces before he was elevated to the position of Vice President by Mnangagwa.

The Vice President has been ailing for the better part of the last 12 months but returned last week after almost half a hear in a admitted to a military medical facility in China.

The Zanu PF number two told State media the Chinese had saved his life.
